Not much happening here today at all. We headed into the city this morning to pick up our laundry from the nice little lady opposite the bookstore. We dropped it off yesterday, two bags full and it was ready by late yesterday afternoon. Here they charge you for laundry by the kilo, so for all our washing which was about 14 items including two pairs of jeans the cost was $4.05; we had right around 8 kilos so it's roughly $0.50 a kilo. Please tell me why I have been scrubbing our clothes by hand when it's so cheap to have someone else wash, dry and fold them for me? I think the nice little lady will be seeing quite a lot more of us in the next few weeks.
After we had lunch we came back to the apartment to drop off the washing before Mike headed out to the dentist. His one tooth is all fixed by today she is going to remove his bridge as the middle tooth on the bridge is broken. I'm hoping that when he comes back (I didn't go with him this time) he will have some temporary teeth and not a huge gap, especially since we are leaving for the coast tomorrow.
talking about the coast, I have to go pack our stuff that we are taking for our four day trip - will I be able to get everything in our carry on bags?
