You're going to be so proud of me cos this morning I went to my first ever yoga lesson, and it was in spanish. I woke up before 7 and lay in bed for a while almost talking myself out of going but since Mike was already up I figured he'd be pretty pissed if I stayed in bed so up I got. The class started at 9 so we headed into town and climbed to the fourth floor of the building to the right room. The yoga teachers name is Ximena and she is super sweet, she speaks a little english but not very much, but we managed to communicate with each other ok. There were only three people including me in the class and it was pretty cool. I managed to do most of what the rest of the class were doing and really enjoyed it. One of the girls in the class spoke english really well and so whenever Ximena wanted to convey something to me she would translate. I did pick up a few new words while I was there - inspirar, exhalar - probably because she repeated them ...alot. I signed up for 8 more classes so no talking myself into staying in bed next week.
I'm not sure what all Mike did while I was yogaing but he was waiting outside for me after I finished class and drinking tea. He was chatting with another gringo about moving to Ecuador and we got some useful information from him and also the name of the abogada he used to get his paperwork completed to move here. I think we are going to go visit her to get the legal requirements straight before we leave.
We had intended to go to the spa in Banos for the day after yoga but there was a big parade in town so we went to watch that instead. It was made up of school and college kids, as well as a few older people, and I'm not really sure what the parade was for; they seem to have at least one a week here. It might have been to start the celebrations for the anniversary of the city's founding which is April 12th, but it could have been for no other reason than because they wanted a parade.
This afternoon we went to visit Sandy at the travel agency as we hadn't heard anything about taking a trip other than to check dates. We are now going to Puerto Lopez which is on the Pacific Coast next weekend and while we are there we'll visit Isla de Plata. It should be a fun weekend.

Mike: So many little cuties!
