I felt much better this morning than I did yesterday morning, maybe because last night I actually got some sleep. The night before I think I finally got to sleep around 5am as it was so bloody windy; I felt sure that the awning was going to be missing by the morning as the wind was really blowing. It would be all calm and quiet and then there was this noise like a train coming through the trees just before the trailer would rock and roll and the awning would rattle. It was horrible, and I’m sure Mike would agree with me as to how bad it was if only he had been awake!
We decided to do a little shopping today and we both managed to get some cold weather clothes for when we get back to San Diego. We actually might get to use them here, especially first thing in the mornings, as it’s been down in the mid 30’s the last couple of nights – I hope the deer are keeping warm. Despite the cold mornings the afternoons are beautiful so this p.m. we paid a visit to Lake Medina; the water level is ridiculously low here too, but the deer and the cows are abundant. We spent the rest of the afternoon sitting out under the awning conversing with the deer and roadrunner before we hitched up the trailer ready to leave in the morning. Several of the deer wanted to get up close and personal with Mike while he was working around the side of the trailer, he got goosed in the behind and they were really interested in what he was keeping in the side door.
Mike: Nosey little buggers!
