We headed into Eugene and did a little shopping today. That’s about all there is to tell really, it’s just another bigish city. The drive there and back was really pretty though, and we did find a nice spot along the way to have lunch.

Mike: It's pretty sad when the difficult part of our day is driving through beautiful scenery!!

We stopped off in Florence on the way back, found a parking space without too much trouble, and had a wander around the town. The old part of town is a cute little place right on the Siuslaw River with lots of little stores and galleries selling all kinds of things (mostly touristy things).  We walked along the boardwalk beside the river and saw what was left of the ferry docks (before the bridge was built the ferry was the only way across the river), before heading home.
