This morning we went into Seaside and checked out the town. We were here two and a half years ago but only for one night so we didn’t get to see anything other than the main road and the campground. The town is really cool, very touristy and very beachy but cool. There is a promenade that runs along the beach almost the whole length of the town, and the beach is lovely and pristine. There are lots of little shops, restaurants and even an indoor carousel along Broadway, which is the main thoroughfare that runs east to west through town, and at the west end of the street is the Turnaround where a statue of Lewis and Clark and their dog Seaman stands.

Mike: I remember Lewis and Clark, when I was a kid!

This is a nice town, although the traffic can be a bit of a pain since the 101 runs right through it and is the main route north to south along the coast.
