Took a drive into Buchanan this morning after a leisurely start to the day. Picked up our mail and then stopped off at the Chevy dealer as Serena is making an awful racket whenever Mike brakes; it sounds like an airplane is landing on top of us. The guy who fixed the brakes said that the rotors might need replacing soon so we are figuring that’s the case, anyway the Chevy bloke can fit us in tomorrow afternoon.
It turns out that the campsite does not have any internet, not at the individual sites or even at the lodge, so we had to go looking for McDonalds. When we found it it was closed as there had been a water main break but Pizza Hut came to the rescue, who knew they had wifi? Anyway we got to eat pizza while we were online, cool.
This afternoon when we got back from town we took Tal-y for a walk by the river. We tried to get her out on the jetty but she was having none of it once she realized that it moved with the water - wuss. She was an even bigger wuss when we got to the waterfall. It’s only a small one that you can walk right in front of and the water splashes onto the path. She was all brave till she got about half way across the path then she bolted back the way we had come. I had to carry her past it as the alternative was strangling her as she was pulling so hard on the leash to get away from the water. Maybe before we leave her she’ll master her fear and walk the waterfall path.

Mike: Nice park, nice lake, but I don’t think there are any bears in the cave.
