Not a very exciting day today, just packing up, driving, and then unpacking. Thankfully we didn’t roll into the lake when we hitched up this morning, everything went very smoothly getting out of the park. We took off fairly early and headed for Pennsylvania; we were quite close to the state line so it didn’t take too long. We didn’t spend much time in Pennsylvania before crossing into New York where we’ll be for the next few weeks at several different parks. We spent quite a while on the toll road once we crossed into New York; there seem to be a lot of them in this part of the country. It’s not that I have a problem with the toll part it’s just that once you’re on them there’s no getting off and back on them without paying the toll twice, and they have really bad food choices along them. Today we stopped at a service station and had a choice between Denny’s and McDonald’s – big choice. We ended up eating a literal heart attack on a plate, deep fried mozzarella sticks on a sandwich covered in American cheese, with fries; at least mozzarella is low fat, right!
Got to the park, which is just outside Lockport this afternoon. It seems like a nice park, although thankfully it’s not too full. We’ve been stuck in a corner with no sewer but at least we have good internet. Our space is actually really nice with very few people around and we are on the edge of the campsite so we have no one behind us, peace. Took Tal-y for a walk around after getting set up to let her stretch her legs and also to have a nose. There are a lot of New Yorkers at this site and very few people from out of state, which is a little different from most of the other places we’ve been to.

Mike: I'm not wild about toll roads. There not even good roads, it's a sham!
