Mike was feeling quite sad when i got up this morning as it seems that Tal-y loves me more than him; she would be perfectly happy if he wanted to sleep on the sofa I think.
We headed to Charleston this morning with the intention of taking care of a little business at AAA and then having a wander around the city. We had to get some signatures notarised at AAA but when we got to the Charleston office their notary was out for the day and the other was on vacation. We ended up having to drive another half-hour further north to Mt Pleasant to the AAA office there. The drive was pretty at least, we had to go over a number of bridges as this area is a network of islands. We got the signatures notarized at last, even though I’m not really sure that the woman who did it actually knew what she was doing. Never mind, the paperwork is in the mail now.
As it took us longer than we had anticipated, we didn’t have a whole lot of time to see Charleston today. We did spend a little time in Mt. Pleasant, and I got to take all my Christmas presents back that I had bought. I had packaged everything up to ship home but then when we took it to the Post Office the actual postage was almost more than the presents themselves so we decided not to send them and we are going to have Christmas next May or June when we get home. Sounds like a plan I think, Christmas in the garden with the sun shining.
Mike claims he saw a gator sitting next to one of the lakes we passed on the way home this afternoon, but he was probably imagining things.

Mike: I could send Tal-y to investigate!
