We took the short drive again this morning into Astoria to visit the farmer’s market that they have there every Sunday through the summer months. It’s one of the biggest farmer’s markets in the state with over 200 vendors that offer only locally made products that have been grown or created by the vendors themselves.
It wasn’t too crowded when we arrived and we had no trouble parking Xena on one of the downtown streets. We spent a good long while wandering among the booths and stalls checking out the huge variety of things on sale from fresh soft fruits to mushroom shaped bird houses to goat milk soap. It was pretty cool, although we didn’t buy much of anything.
Mike: I like Astoria! Goat-milk soup?
