Packing up this morning was fairly easy. We had done a bunch of the outside stuff yesterday, but inside was easy as we have hardly anything left in there. It was good though as we wanted to get an early start as the drive today was 5 hours.
It wasn't a bad drive once we got out of the LA area traffic, and even with a few stops we made good time into Arizona. It was smooth sailing the whole way until we were almost at the camp ground, and then second guessing Nell got us into a little bit of trouble. We only went one exit out of our way though and added only two extra miles to our trip.
I was under the impression that we were going to be gaining an hour when we crossed into Arizona. Duh, of course we lose an hour when we enter mountain time, so we didn't get to the campground until close to three o'clock. We got checked in and were assigned a space but as we were backing into it a guy came and assigned us a different space as the one the office had given us was already assigned to someone else - I'm glad he came before we got all set up. Anyway, the new space he gave, according to him "is the best space in the park"; it's not bad, we are on the end of the row right next to the clubhouse.
Since we cleared out most of our stuff the trailer is so much lighter than usual and no matter how hard I crank down the legs we are rocking and rolling like crazy. It drives me nuts and since Mike is the only person here that I know I had to take my frustration out on him. I'm all better now though.
The campground is nice here in Bullhead City, we are right on the Colorado river and on the opposite bank from Laughlin. We are on mountain time, but over in Nevada it's pacific time, and as we are so close to the border our phones keep changing from one time zone to another. It's a good job we don't have anywhere to go or anywhere to be cos I can guarantee we'd be either really early or really late!
Mike: Nice park, but windy! We can see Laughlin over the river all lit up at night!
