We took a little drive today north on the 101 and then east along the 175 towards Clearlake and Clear Lake. The drive was nice, along another super windy road but with no nutters trying to run us off it today. We took the loop around the lake and stopped at Clearlake which I kinda wish we hadn't done as it was not the nicest place. There were lots of really strange people there, really rough and scary looking ones, and some that looked like they hadn't bathed in a long while, so we headed back on the road further around the lake. We stopped again at a little park in Lucerne, on the northeast side of the lake, and had lunch before continuing our journey around the rest of Clear lake and back home.
It was nice to see a little bit more of the area but the drive wasn't the prettiest we've been on and we've been to nicer destinations and seen cleaner clear lakes; but what ever, you can't win them all and we still have lots more to see over the next few months.
