Yesterday was the day we were supposed to hear about Xena, and the call came around half past three in the afternoon. Mike talked to the rep, and the mechanic, and apparently it’s not too bad, something to do with the fuel injector I think; it’s fixable anyway which is all I’m concerned about. The mechanic, who is supposedly the best diesel guy on the West Coast had Mike drive down to the dealership so he could explain the problem and show him what he wanted to do. He was gone for ages, but when he got back he knew what was being done and that the mechanic was hoping to have the repairs and the service done by this afternoon.
Well the call came in today, and after agreeing to have one or two more things taken care of, Mike finally brought Xena home late this afternoon. She now runs like a dream, which is good news, and the bill was less than $1,500.00, which is even better news. Even with adding in the $200+ we have had to pay to stay here I think we still got away for much less than we were both anticipating. All Xena needs now is a wash to get the gross black stuff off her behind.
Mike: Xena, glad to have you back after your week in the hospital! I missed you! Becc, missed you!
